Contraindication:

  • Pinus radiata may lower blood pressure and may also interact with anti-inflammatory, cholesterol drugs, or weight loss agents

  • Star anise is considered safe and no contraindications have been reported
  • Ginger not to be used with blood clotting medication

Spike Proteins:

  • Give the virus the ability to latch onto and bind to the cells that they infect
  • Adhere to the ACE2 receptors on cells and downregulates their function causing damage to the endothelium cells that line lung tissue and blood vessels this further damages the mitochondria (Energy producing organelles)
  • Causes inflammation throughout the body as it adheres to the ACE2 receptors, the ACE2 receptors are found on the inside lining of blood vessels arteries, veins and the inside lining of the heart. Blood vessels cover the entire body, thus ACE2 receptors comprise the entire body. When the ACE2 receptor interacts with the S protein this results in severe inflammation, e.g. Migraines and Pericarditis, (inflammation of the heart)
  • Spike proteins can be spread via breath, skin-to-skin contact and sharing of bodily fluids

Benefits

How The Herbs Assist:

Pine Needles (Pinus Radiata)

  • Excellent source of shikimic acid, used in the most popular antiviral drugs
  • Reduces platelet aggregation, potentially preventing blood clots
  • Interferes with replication and modification of RNA and DNA
  • Excellent source of Vitamin C to build immune support
  • Anti-inflammatory, assists with bronchiatis, colds coughs and respiratory infections

Pine contains high amounts of Phosphorus, Potassium and Magnesium and is packed with antioxidants that decrease cell damage from oxidation.

Star Anise

  • Potent antiviral and has the highest content of shikimic acid 5-7%
  • Inhibits bacterial growth and has been shown to be as effective as antibiotics against multiple drug-resistant bacteria
  • Anti-inflammatory properties to help relieve stress on the immune system
  • Protects against stomach ulcers and stops the growth of fungus, bacteria and viruses
  • Reduces platelet aggregation
  • Anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antidepressant qualities

Star anise is high in Iron, Manganese, Calcium, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium and Copper.

Dandelion Leaf

  • Potent inhibition (blocking) of spike protein binding to the ACE2 receptor
  • Efficiently blocks the interaction between ACE2 cell surface receptor and the spike protein
  • Displaces spike from spike receptor
  • Blocks viral entry into cells and oral mucosa
  • Promotes good cardiovascular health
  • Contains high sources of Vitamins A, C & K plus Zinc to help build immunity from viruses
  • Boosts immune system and releases toxins from the body, helping to fight infections
  • Is a strong antioxidant; Antioxidants in turn reduce inflammation

Leaves are nutrient-rich and high in minerals and vitamins including Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium, Iron, and vitamins A, B and C and has the highest amount of vitamin A than any other garden plant.

Ginger

  • High binding affinity to S proteins interfering with the ACE2 receptor interaction, thus inhibiting the spread
  • Slows the clotting of the blood
  • Blocks viral attachment and penetration into host cells
  • Stimulates the secretion of interferon, inhibiting viral replication
  • Beneficial in the treatment of respiratory viral infections
  • Directly and indirectly inhibits effects on viral life cycle, including the binding, entry, replication, packaging and assembling of the virus
  • Potent antiviral, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulating and antioxidant properties; these help remove toxins from the respiratory tract
