Gender Equality: 61 women have died this year in Australia from domestic violence
Our first inspirational leader is Deb. Deb & her team run the Wash House.
The Was House is a centre for women that has operated for over 36 years in Western Sydney, Australia. They work to reduce the impact of poverty, social disadvantage, and violence in the lives of women. The work at the Wash House is based on feminist, human rights and social justice principles.
They acknowledge historic, political and cultural structures that undervalue women and girls, they are dedicated to dismantling sexism, misogyny and patriarchy. Their mission is to resource and support women and girls to be empowered to live fulfilling, safe and joyous lives.
