Mindfulness Healing Part 1

Our New Moon Priestess Diana Bonnici takes you on a journey each New Moon and shares with you a different mindfulness healing process that will allow you to go inward and ask your soul to guide the unfolding of who you are becoming. 🙏

The new moon always falls in one specific astrological sign. Every sign carries different energies and themes. We can use this information to connect with the Divine. The January new moon is aligned with Capricorn: Earth, structure, integrity, and hard work.

The new moon is a time to set intentions and launch new projects. They are for planting seeds and setting intentions for our dreams, goals and wishes. 🥰

They’re an opportunity to take ownership of what we want to manifest and to commit to the actions, thoughts and behaviours necessary to get us there. Since new moons happen monthly and signify the beginning of a cycle, you can think of them as a Divine reset.

The new moon is the ideal time to set intentions and goals that you’ll develop as the moon waxes toward fullness. Connecting to these lunar energies can provide grounding and a sense of direction. 😍

Setting an intention is like drawing a map of where you wish to go. Without an intention, there is no map, and you’re just driving down a road with no destination in mind.

An authentic intention cannot be forced. You can’t set an intention that you don’t believe in. Choose an intention that is positive and in the present tense. Refrain from using negative words. This is the time to Listen to the Divine. 😘

Time to hear your calling for the next month. Trusting Divine Wisdom and Divine Timing to direct you. You can then add your intentions into your daily meditation or time of Deep Listening.

Creating a sacred space is important in mindfulness healing it invites the new moon energy into our life. When we create a sacred physical environment we are inviting that energy to come into our life.

It can be on top of a dresser, a special table or area in our home. Set up any objects, images, candles or flowers that remind us of our deep connection to Divine and of what we want to call into our life.

There are many ways to Deeply Listen to the Divine. We will be exploring them throughout the year. For now, start our deep listening with a few deep belly breaths and observe the stillness within, Listen Deeply, and then set our intention. Do we want to incorporate the energies of Capricorn into our intention for the month?

How do we want to connect with Mother Earth? Is there an area where we need to add more structure, integrity or hard work?

Some examples of intentions may be:
✅ I intend to respond and then react.
✅ I intend to have more joy in my life.
✅ I intend to lead by example.
✅ I intend to forgive myself and others.
✅ I intend to listen to my Divine Wisdom.
✅ I intend to add meditation, prayer and workouts into my daily life.
✅ I intend to live with gratitude.
✅ I intend to deliberately connect with Mother Earth by taking a walk every day and noticing the flowers and birds.

A New Moon Ritual.

Step 1: Set time aside a specific time to honour the new moon.
Step 2: Start with a meditation, prayer or whatever way you Listen to Divine.
Step 3: Write down your intentions. When we write things down, we are more likely to remember and act on them. Leave a copy on your sacred altar.
Step 4: Spend time with what you wrote and read it aloud.
Step 5: Take time for self-care. Take a bath. Water-based rituals are always a great way to work with lunar energy, as the moon is so closely linked with the water element. Relax and reset in the tub with your favourite music playing. Light candles, and set a healing ambience for your bath. Submerge and set the space for a new beginning as you cleanse, release, and refresh your mind, body, and spirit.

Keeping your list of intentions with you as the moon waxes, we revisit them and revise them as needed. Every day make time to read them and be with these intentions in a deliberate way. Take time to Listen to the Divine. Take time to hear our calling and trust Divine Wisdom and Divine Timing.
